Delicado Beverly Scroggins
The Chesapeake Chapter Delicados are proud to present Delicado Beverly L. Scroggins as their Rosebud for the 2024 Chapter Year. Beverly has been a member of Delicados Inc., for seventeen years. She has been a member of two chapters, St. Mary’s County and upon relocating to the Tidewater area transferred her membership to the Chesapeake Chapter.
Delicado Scroggins is a graduate of Norfolk State University and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education, a Certificate in Corrective Therapy, and a Master of Arts Degree in Special Education K-12. She retired in 2015 and spends her time as a Substitute Teacher of Preschool children. She has worked in several school districts as a teacher and has continued to maintain focus on having a positive impact on children’s achievement through advocacy for the most at-risk
children.
Delicado Scroggins enjoys participating in community activities as well as working in Masonic organizations. She has held leadership positions as Illustrious Commandress (2years), Imperial Deputy and Imperial Directress (6years), Worthy Matron (2years) and National OES Trustee (8years). For her work in the Shriner Organization, she received Court of the Year, and many County Commissioners Certificates. For her work in the county, she received recognition as “Woman of the Year” in 2013.
In the past, she has held, with pride, the position of Vice President in St. Mary’s County and Chesapeake Chapters. Presently, she is the Chesapeake Chapter’s Financial Secretary and a Committee Chair. As a faithful and dedicated member of the Chesapeake Chapter has allowed her to share her inspiration by providing transportation for one of our members who otherwise would not be able to attend monthly meetings and activities.
Delicado Scroggins is an active member of Olive Grove Baptist Church and is a member of the Missionary Ministry serving as Vice President. Delicado Scroggins is the mother of two daughters, 8 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild.
